Explorations Into The Known World, Venice, June 2009

A collaboration between Liz Sheridan and Cedric Christie, with the support of Valley Kayaks,  a customised sea kayak is being used as a vehicle for exploring the overlooked margins of the European continent.

The artwork is thus a combination of the boat itself, the performance of the journeys and the documentation of the discoveries made in the process.

Explorations into the Known World was launched as part of the Venice Biennale fringe on the weekend 5 -7 June 2009 and TangentProjects has been documenting the project.
